After proving to be a box office hit after its pan India release and earning over Rs 336 .13 crores including a record earning of Ra 32 crores in a single day on second Saturday, the maker of the movie GADAR – 2 and its key star Sunny Deol has received a big setback after the Bank of Baroda management released a sale notice through auction of his 600 square meter plot on which stands his magnificent Villa known as Sunny Villa to collect 56 crores rupees against the loan of RS. 51 crores taken by Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol as borrower guarantor in 2015 -15 during the production of BOLLYWOOD MOVIE “GHAYAL ONCE AGAIN”, WHICH COULD NOT DO WELL IN BOX OFFICE. THE FILM’S TOTAL BUDGET WAS, RS 50 CRORES. According to a news in TOI the Bank of Baroda has acquired the symbolic possession of the said plot and Sunny Villa and would be put for auction SALE on September 14 with Sunny Deol’s representative saying that they are trying to sort out this issue at the earliest, amicably. The Bank of Baroda who was not returned the said loan since 2015-16 has issued the sale notice as advertisement in newspapers hoping that since Sunny Deol’s GADAR 2 is hitting box office and is giving a handsome business, the Deols’ may approach the Bank to find a positive wayout and pay the loan after reaching an amicable agreement. According to the news reports the notice issued under SARFAISI, “Securitisation and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Security Interest Act2002 namely Ajay Singh Dharmendra alias Sunny Deo and his brother Vijay Singh Dharmendra alias Bobby Deol and their father Dharmendra Singh Deol as guarantors for loan of fifty one crores taken from Bank of Baroda in 2015-16 for a film GHAYAL ONCE AGAIN A SEQUEL TO SUNNY’S 1990 HIT MOVIE produced under the banner of Vijyata Films Pvt Ltd since the Budget of the movie was RS 50 crores but since the movie couldn’t hit box office the company suffered losses and the loan wasn’t paid. After the GADAR 2 ‘s super success with the movie collecting 332 crores in just two weeks, the BOB management thought that it’s the right time to hit the iron as it’s tremendously hot now. Hence the sale notice in papers as advertisements through auction on September 14 which must have created quite a furore in Super star Dharmendra’s family.

But it seems strange that when Dharmendra has worked in hundreds of hit films, Sunny and Bobby Deol have also made their mark in Bollywood, both of whom represented Gurdaspur as MPs, how come they are in debt of 50 crores. Can’t they pay? This is the question people are raising. However, according to a latest report, there have been a settlement between Sunny Deol and the bank officials and the auction has been put on hold.
