Uttarakhand CM announces Rs. 5 lakh to each of the dead’s, family and Rs 1 lakh to the injured. PM, HM express their anguish and deepest condolences !

The prime minister Narendra Modi has expressed his serious concern and deepest condolences on the tragic and sad demise of 16 persons on the transformer blast which electrocuted them leading to their subsequent deaths. While assuring about the state government doing its best to provide best medical aid for the speedy recovery of those alive and injured prime minister Modi tweeted : extremely anguishing and traumatic. Am badly anguished by the Chamoli tragedy. I pray to almighty for the speedy recovery of those injured in this tragic incident apart from expressing my deepest condolences to the bereaved families who have list their near and dear ones. With the help of the state government the local administration is dedicatedly busy providing every possible medical aid to the injured. The Union home minister Amit Shah while expressing his deepest condolences said that he is badly anguished hearing about this Chamoli tragedy. He said that he had spoken to the chief minister and sought details, about the tragedy. The administration is busy providing best possible medical treatment to the injured. He expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the early recovery of the grievously injured. The Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the Rishikesh hospital where the injured are being treated and met the injured and discussed about the treatment being rendered to the injured directing the doctors and administration to duly take care of them and ensure their adequate and best possible treatment. The chief minister also spoke telephonically to the Union home minister Amit Shah and announced Rs 5 lakhs to each of the dead as compensation to be paid to the bereaved family. He sanctioned Rs one lakh to each of the injured. However, the PMO has released Rs two lakh each for the dead and Rs 50000 to each injured, a petty amount, ironically. Meanwhile, the CPI ( ML) Uttarakhand leader Indresh Maikhuri has, demanded Rs 1 crores to each of the bereaved families for the dead and, Rs fifty lakhs for the injured for best medical treatment saying that Rs 5 lakh is not enough as announced by the CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
