Massive fire broke out on the 9 th floor of DCM building on Barakhamba Road. No casualty. Took two hours to douse the fire.

A massive fire broke out from the 9 th floor of a building in Barakhamba Road near Connaught Place before six in the evening. The fire started emanating from the windows of the ninth floor building massively. There was panic all around and inside the building with people rushing out of it desperately. The fire office got the news at 621 PM and about ten fire tenders are rush into service to douze the flames. The fire has engulfed the entire ninth floor of the building with flames coming out rapidly. Thousands of people gathered on the road to witness the scene. It took two hours for the fire tenders to diffuse the fire. Thankfully no casualties were reported. Thr fire occurred in the DCM building probably due to short circuit. The fire was dosed at around 8.00 PM and it’s was raining by then. The fire tenders and the employees had a hard time erecting pipes with the help if the cranes pointing out water jets towards the ninth floor finally dousing it within two hours of hectic action. Thanks to the fire fighters.
