Anti BJP opposition unity efforts got a huge rebuff after NCP leaders Ajit Pawar, Chagan Bhujbal and 7 MLAs join BJP and get Deputy CM and ministers’ berths

The anti BJP unity efforts today faced a strong rebuff when Ajit Pawar, Chagan Bhujbal and 7 MLAs of NCP joined BJP and Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra. The leader of the defected group of NCP and now Deputy CM of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar has claimed the support of thirty to forty MLAs with him.

The Aam Admi Party strongly criticised the saffron party government and central leadership for engineering large scale defection of NCP MLAs to BJP, whose prominent leader and former Deputy CM of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar has been made the deputy chief minister by the Shiv Sena government of Maharashtra and its 8 MLAs sworn in a ministers in the BJP Shiv Sena combine government.

It may be recalled that on 23 rd June the non BJP leaders of 14 opposition parties have congregated in a conclave at Patna and had vowed to form a credible opposition unity to formidably challenge the BJP led NDA government at the centre during the forthcoming state and national elections but the defection of senior leaders including several MLAs from NCP joining the saffron party in Maharashtra has given a huge rebuff to the non BJP opposition unity efforts.

The AAM ADMI PARTY, an important member of the opposition conclave has been very forthcoming in criticising prime minister Narendra Modi for entertaining the defected NCP leaders to BJP and Shiv Sena combined government in Maharashtra and awarding them with deputy chief ministership as well as several cabinet and state minister portfolios.

The senior leader of AAP and a vociferous Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh came down heavily on the saffron party and the prime minister accusing him for being hypocritical and entertaining those NCP MLAs and making Ajit Pawar as deputy CM who are outrightly involved in corruption cases and against whom the CBI and the ED is investigating cases of corruption especially the multi crore irrigation scam. Not even this but despite making Ajit Pawar a deputy CM, Sanjay Singh said that Chagan Bhujbal who was in jail for corruption cases has been made the cabinet minister in Maharashtra Shiv Sena BJP combine government.

Sanjay Singh catagorically said that in the eyes of BJP if anyone commits massive corruption and joins the saffron party he becomes pious, as Ganges. You join BJP and all your sins will be washed away immediately said Rajya, Sabha MP Sanjay Singh.

A cabinet minister in Delhi government Atishi said that the same tactics by BJP are being adopted in Punjab and Delhi and the basic and primary job of the saffron party government is to defame the opposition governments and finish all the opposition parties and their governments through CBI and ED.

It may be recalled that the NCP leader and nephew of NCP supremo Sharad Pawar, Ajit Pawar was badly annoyed after Sharad Pawar appointed his daughter Mrs Supriya Dhule as the party national chief provoking him to join BJP along with another heavy weight Chagan Bhujbal and 7 MLAs who were made ministers in Maharashtra BJP government giving a huge rebuff to NCP supremo Sharad Pawar and the national anti BJP opposition unity efforts.

The NCP heavy weight Praful Patel and staunch confident of Shared Pawar was also present at the Press Conference of Ajit Pawar unambiguously indicating that he too would join the BJP officially in the near future.

Meanwhile, the NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar has while reacting to this exodus of several MLAs engineered by BJP appointing them deputy CM and ministers strongly criticized Ajit Pawar , Chagan Bhujbal and others saying that they had joined BJP as they were facing the sword of CBI and ED for their involvement in several corruption cases.

Meanwhile, the Maharashtra, deputy CM Ajit Pawar has claimed the support of thirty to forty MLAs with him and can go to any extent to achieve power said Waris Pathan of AIMIN. He said that may be Sharad Pawar also want the same. The BJP is a washing machine and people of Maharashtra, are watching it.

The Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot has accused the BJP led NDA government of trying to finish the entire anti BJP opposition at the behest of money power and investigating agencies like CBI and ED.

Meanwhile, the Congress leader Sonia Gandhi spoke to NCP stalwart Sharad Pawar and extended the total support of Congress in addition to Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi also speaking to him.
