The ailing former health minister of Delhi who is admitted in LNJP hospital on Oxygen support finally got a bail from Supreme Court for six weeks after being in Tihar Jail since May, 2022 in a money laundering case. Jain 58 years old was rushed to Deen Dayal hospital and thereafter at LNJP hospital yesterday after he was recommended by DDU doctors. Since his condition deteriorated further he was put in ICU on oxygen support. In a week’s time this was the second admission of the former Delhi health minister in a hospital after first being admitted on 22 May at Safdarjung hospital. Yesterday, the former minister Jain had fallen in a washroom at Tihar Jail from where he was rushed to DDU. Currently he is in LNJP hospital on oxygen support undergoing several medical tests. There were reports of Jain decreasing 35 kg of weight looking extremely weak and frail. Senior advocate of supreme Court and Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi while arguing Jain’s case in Supremes Court appealed to the SC judge to grant him bail on medical grounds as his health condition is not good having reduced 33 kgs of weight and likely to be operated for vertebrae. The additional solicitar general ( as per the latest news) argued against the bail plea saying that LNJP medical report can’t be relied upon and the inmate should be medically certified from AIIMS. HOWEVER, on being asked (as per the news on Live Law website of legal news) by supreme Court for reasons not relying on LNJP medical records, the ASG said that since he was the minister of health in Delhi government he may be misusing his earlier position to influence his medical report etc. It may be recalled that the Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejrival had been quite vocal through his tweet saying that a person who had been working hard – day and night to ensure good health of citizens in Delhi, a dictator is bent up in killing a gentleman. He has only one wish that only he lives and no one else . Almighty is watching all and will do justice to all tweeted Delhi CM. Cabinet minister of Delhi government Saurabh Bharadwaj too had tweeted : God will never pardon you for this bad act by whatever you have done to Satyendra Jain who has done tremendously for improving the health services in Delhi.
