Delegation INTEC meets protesting wrestlers at Jantar Mantar and extend their solidarity to their cause !

Today, members of the Indian National Teachers (INTEC) participated in the protest of women wrestlers for justice in the sexual harassment case.
INTEC Chairman Prof Pankaj Garg, Jal Singh Rana, Aman Kumar (Member of Delhi University Court), Dr. Megh Raj (Academic Council member of DU and General secretary of INTEC), Dr. Neelam (Academic Council member of DU and general secretary of INTEC), Dr. Bunty, and Shanti Swarup, President of Delhi Gram Vikas Panchayat met the protesting women wrestlers and assured them of their wholehearted support in their fight to seek due justice.
Dr. Megh Raj and Dr. Neelam interacted with media personnel and put their views on the live telecast.
The INTEC lauded the protest of the wrestlers since April 23 rd for justice at Jantar Mantar.
The INTEC delegates said that it is regrettable that in the women wrestlers’ sexual harassment case, even after several complaints no FIR was not registered. FIR was only registered after the Supreme Court ordered the Police to register but the accused has not been arrested despite another the FIR registered under POCSO Act.
They warned that if these women wrestlers do not get justice then other parents will also be reluctant to send their girls to the field of sports. This raises a few questions-
How is an impartial investigation expected when the accused is roaming free, and giving interviews on various news channels? They asked as to why is the government protecting and patronizing the accused of sexual harassment?
Why government is not supportive of women players?
आज भारतीय राष्ट्रीय शिक्षक (INTEC, आईएनटीईसी) के सदस्यों ने यौन उत्पीड़न मामले में न्याय के लिए महिला पहलवानों द्वारा किये जा रहे विरोध प्रदर्शन में भाग लिया। INTEC के अध्यक्ष प्रो पंकज गर्ग, श्री। जल सिंह राणा जी, श्री। अमन कुमार (दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय कोर्ट के सदस्य), डॉ मेघ राज (डीयू के अकादमिक परिषद सदस्य और आईएनटीईसी के महासचिव), डॉ नीलम (डीयू के अकादमिक परिषद सदस्य और आईएनटीईसी के महासचिव), डॉ बंटी, और दिल्ली ग्राम विकास पंचायत की अध्यक्ष श्री शांति स्वरूप ने महिला पहलवानों से मुलाकात की और उन्हें न्याय दिलाने की लड़ाई में पूरा सहयोग देने के लिए आश्वस्त किया.
डॉ. मेघ राज और डॉ. नीलम ने मीडिया कर्मियों से सीधे प्रसारण में बातचीत की और अपने विचार रखे।
उन्होंने कहा.जंतर-मंतर पर न्याय के लिए पिछले 21 दिनों से आंदोलन कर रहे सभी पहलवानों को हम सलाम करते हैं।
महिला पहलवानों के यौन उत्पीड़न मामले में शिकायत के बाद भी FIR दर्ज नहीं की गयी। सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा पुलिस को आदेश दिये जाने के बाद ही ही FIR दर्ज की गई थी लेकिन POCSO अधिनियम के तहत FIR होने के बावजूद आरोपी को गिरफ्तार नहीं किया गया है। अगर इन महिला पहलवानों को न्याय नहीं मिला तो अन्य माता-पिता भी अपनी बच्चियों को खेल के मैदान में भेजने से कतराएंगे। इससे कुछ सवाल उठते है : जब आरोपी खुलेआम घूम रहे हों और विभिन्न न्यूज चैनलों पर इंटरव्यू दे रहे हों तो निष्पक्ष जांच की उम्मीद कैसे की जा सकती है? सरकार यौन उत्पीड़न के आरोपियों का बचाव और संरक्षण क्यों दे रही है?
