Mafia don Atiq and his brother Sarfaraz shot dead from point blank range at Prayagraj medical college !
The mafia don of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh former MLA and MP who was being taken to medical college /hospital for medical checkup Atiq Ahmed and his brother Sarfaraj have been killed from point blank range on Saturday night by three persons who had been caught on the spot by the police guarding the Atiq and Sarfaraj.
Eye witnesses say that the killers after committing the crime didn’t resisted much and surrendered chanting slogans.
After killing both Atiq and Sarfaraz, the murderers were raising slogans ” JAI SIYA RAM”.
The police have found a bike on the spot used by the shooters and had confiscated it.
According to police the killers had a camera and Mike in their hands and were posing as media men trying to interview Atiq.
While Atiq was responding to the questions of media men, the killers pointed a pistol from point blank range and suddenly fired bullets on his temple resulting in Atiq felling down in a pool of blood and succumbing. His brother accompanying Atiq was also shot at and he too fell down dying on the spot.
There was commotion all around and everyone was shocked and badly panicked, with shopkeepers running towards their houses after pulling their shutters down.
About 17 policemen guarding Atiq and Adhraf have been suspended and the angry chief minister Yogi Aditya Nath convened an urgent meeting issuing orders of suspension of 17 policemen looking after the security of Atiq and his brother Sarfaraj who were sentenced to life imprisonment.
Two days before son of Atiq , Asad was also killed along with his associate Ghulam Mohammed ( both absconders) having an award of Rs 5 lakhs on their heads and wanted in the murder of Umesh Pal a prime witness.
Meanwhile, hundreds of policemen have been brought into service and prohibitory orders under 144 CRPC have also been issued in Prayagraj and some other districts of UP to bring the situation under control and maintain peace and tranquillity. About 36 rounds of bullets were fired on both Atiq and Sarfaraz and it seems that they wanted to ensure that these mafia dons are eliminated at all costs.
