While recently a Netflix documentary on elephants titled “The Elephant Whisperers”, won most prestigious Oscar Award in which Karan Thapliyal of Pabo block , Pauri Garhwal was a cinematographer handling outstanding camera work bringing laurels for India and the state of Uttarakhand – in Tamil Nadu a young dedicated, energetic and outstanding athlete Mansi Negi of Chamoli district of Garhwal Uttarakhand has bought laurels for the state by bagging a gold medal in the 82 nd All India Inter university Athletic meet 2023.This was the twenty kilometer marathon and Mansi Negi has done wonders by bringing Gold in this highly competitive race.
Uttarakhand is proud of athlete Mansi Negi and cinematographer Karan Thapliyal both – for bringing laurels for the nation and state by the dint of their hard work, dedication, exceptional enthusiasm and outstanding feats.
The former union state minister and MP from Almora Ajay Tamta has heartily congratulated Mansi Negi for her outstanding performance bagging Gold for the state raising the name of Uttarakhand high in the 82 nd All India Inter University Athletic meet 2023.
He wrote that he prays to Lord Almighty for her efflorescent and bright future.

It may be recalled that Mansi Negi had also won gold earlier in June 2022 in Khelo India competition in Walk race bringing laurels for the state.
