Ayush Patwal of Nainidanda block, Pauri Garhwal reportedly drowned in Ganges at Ompul Ghat, Haridwar after he along with friends were taking bath !

There is an extremely sad and shocking news coming in. A young boy namely Ayush Patwal hailing from Nainidanda block, Pauri Garhwal who had gone to holy town Haridwar along with friends this morning – was drowned in the Ganges at Hardwar near Ompul Ghat after he went there for bath. Though there are steel protection arrangements at both the sides with steel chains attached to railings to safeguard the pilgrims taking bath from the high tides of Ganges at Haridwar but luck was not on Ayush Patwal’s side, drowning him uncontrollably while taking bath this afternoon reveal sources. Some months ago two children who had gone near the Alaknanda river at holy town Devprayag the confluence point of Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers converting them into pious Ganges – were drowned during evening hours with their dead bodies not found despite immense search by the state disaster management authority divers. In this case too the dead body of Ayush Patwal has not been found till yet despite best efforts of the divers. Another young boy aged 27 years who was a solo adventure traveller of Uttarakhand living at Sahibabad, Ghaziabad was drowned in Parvati river at KASOL, Manali in Himachal Pradesh, having gone missing a month ago. He had gone at river side along with some unknown youngsters in a new year day party on 31 st December, 2022 to celebrate New Year in a party organised by the hotel management where he was staying. However, his phone went unanswered after 2.00 PM on 31 st December compelling his worried parents and relatives leave for Kasol, Manali . The anguished parents along with the Manali police and the STF extensively searched for the missing son, a software engineer for more than a month having also met the SSP and SHO of Manali but all in vain. The parents of the missing boy returned home empty handed completely broken. However, a day after they got the news about the dead body of the drowned boy found from the river. The family doubt’s something fishy and said that their son was murdered but nothing fruitful came out. His dead body was handed over to the traumatised parents who had no option but to consign them to flames after three days.
