Rahul Gandhi will not apologise

AMITABH SRIVASTAVA, SR. JOURNALIST

Congress spokesperson Jairam Ramesh today quoted an old Bollywood song to expose the fake nationalism of BJP.

Addressing a press conference at the AICC today he said, “There used to be an old song ‘Badan pe sitare lapete huey’ today it has become ‘badan pe tiranga lapete huey’.

He was referring to the BJP plea in the Supreme Court that the Hindenburg report exposing the misdeeds of Adani was an attack on the sovereignty of India.

Talking about the expungement of the remarks of Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha and Mallikarjun Khadge in Rajya Sabha – Jairam Ramesh asserted that this was unprecedented.

“They are now threatening that either Rahul Gandhi apologise for his remarks or he would be suspended from the Lok Sabha

But let me tell you Rahul Gandhi is not going to back out from what he has said” he told the media.

He wondered why the Modi government was running away from the JPC when they know they would have a majority there because of their numerical strength.

There have been JPCs earlier too including on the Hershad Mehta issue where all the Opposition MPs asked very tough questions said senior Congress leader while addressing the mediaperons.

He said that even though parliament will now meet on March there is no question that all the Opposition parties are on one page to demand a JPC on the Adani issue.

Jairam Ramesh revealed that he had personally written letters to the SEBi and RBI demanding an independent inquiry into the Adani issue.
