Rajasthan CM urges Rahul Gandhi to accept becoming national Congress chief lest Congressmen will sit at home !

The date of the election of the new Congress president of one of the largest parties of the country is coming nearer. The new president has to be elected before 20 th September. There are news that the former Congress president Rahul Gandhi is not at all interested to take this pivotal responsibility and the interim president Sonia Gandhi not to continue due to her age and ailing health.

The name of Priyanka Gandhi however is in circulation but majority of Congressmen except those of G 23 group think that Rahul Gandhi is, still the best choice, despite the hard fact that his leadership till now has not been able to bring fruitful results with several Congressmen annoyed having left the party. Moreover the analysts say that the influence of the party and it’s workers is squeezing at the pan India level.

However, the senior Congress leader n Rajasthan CM close to Gandhi family Ashok Gehlot is all fir Rahul Gandhi urging publicly that he take the reigns of the Congress party immediately if the party has to be protected failing which the remaining leaders and workers would also leave the party already in doldrums. Addressing party workers and leaders Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot catagorically said there is an unanimous demand for Rahul Gandhi to take the cudgels as party chief in his hands and as such he should honour and respect their sentiments by all means.

He added that if Rahul Gandhi doesn’t honour the sentiments of lakhs of party workers n leaders they will sit at home resulting in party going further down and troubling us with pain. There is a unanimous demand that Rahul should be made the president of the party at all costs. Praising the leaders of Gandhi family Ashok Gehlot said that not a single member of this family has either become PM, union minister or chief minister of any state but still the prime minister Narendra Modi and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is afraid of them.

He questioned why? This is the only party which takes people of the country with diverse religion, culture together under one umbrella of secularism as the DNA of Congress and the country is same. If any party has kept democracy alive in this country it is only Congress said Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot and it’s only because if this democracy that Narendra Modiji and Kejriwal have become PM n CM respectively.

Accusing the BJP led NDA government for skyrocketing inflation in the country and imposing GST on milk, vegetable old, ghee, cheese n flour etc Ashok Gehlot catagorically said that this government is misguiding the people of the nation that this GST have been applied by state government which is an open lie as Rajasthan govt has written two letters to withdraw GST on these items but they have refused to do so.

Meanwhile in a tweet today with photographs of his participation in Gujrat Congress convention Ashok Gehlot tweeted : Today held a meeting with AICC Observer n incharge Shri K. C. Venugopal, Gujrat Observer Raghu Sharma, State president Jagdish Thakor, with presidents of frontal organisations n departments, senior leaders, observers, lawmakers and office bearers of the state party.

He assured that Congress will win in Rajasthan hands down in the incoming assembly elections.
