Kingpin of more than 25 burglar gangs wanted in 125 cases arrested by Delhi police special cell after several years !

Though the incidents of burglaries, thefts, snatchings and insecurity of women are on increase in the national capital with Delhi Police doing its best to nab the culprits there is a general feeling that the culprits and criminals involved in these crimes are least worried and not at all threatened by the law and the law enforcers, continuing their nefarious activities incessantly. But the hard working n dedicated special cell of Delhi Police always keeps these criminals on tows trying hard with their intelligence and impressive network to trap the hardened wrong doers bringing them in Police net every now and then. As a, sequel to their best efforts and subsequent successes, the Delhi Police special cell has finally triumphed in capturing a hard core, long wanted kingpin of more than twenty five burglar gangs active in and around Delhi, wanted in about 125 cases of attempt to murder, robberies, murders, snatching, rape house burglary, theft, tress pass, assault on police personel, intimidation and what not. This is a big catch for the crime branch of Delhi Police that will solve many pending cases of different criminal aspects. According to the Jasmeet Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Police ( special Cell) the DP special cell has proved successful in nabbing a 27 year old hardened criminal wanted in about 125 criminal cases in the city. He was captured from Anand Vihar Railway station. DCP ( special Cell) Jasmeet Singh disclosed that they’ ve recovered a. 315 single shot pistol with three live cartridges from the possession of the accused namely Wasim Akram alias Lambu a resident of CD Park, in North West Delhi’s Jahangirpuri. Wanted by Delhi Police in about 125 criminal cases of various nation a kingpin of twenty five or more burglary gangs Akram has fired on a SHO of Kotla Mubarakpur n ISBT on June 30 Kashmiri gate during a police chase in connection with a case. According to the deputy commissioner of police ( special cell) Jasmeet Singh the gang of burglars of Akram used to recce the posh colonies of Delhi for four or five days finding out as to which house remains locked most of the time. After targetting few houses they used to commit robbery in four to five houses and after doing the needful, he used to go to Kolkatta to meet his aunt and stay there for few days until things subsided down in Delhi. The DCP disclosed that wanted in the cases related to burglaries, murders, attempt to murder, extortion, threatening people, robbery, snatching, house breaking etc cases against various severe sections of IPC and Arms Acts have been registered against him for the last eight years. This is really a big catch for the special cell which may further throw light on several other cases and involvement of other culprits etc reveal sources.
