Kaka remembered on his tenth death anniversary at The Treat ! Singing tributes paid !
An outstanding superstar, the first and original of Indian film Industry for whom a word superstardom was coined for the very first time – giving 15 super duper hits from 1969 to 71 creating a frenzy of sorts among his millions of fans then and even till date, Rajesh Khanna was remembered on 18 th July on his 10 th death anniversary at “The Treat” Van Chanakyapuri.
Several of his die hie fans and some of those who were in close proximity with Kaka during his political days in New Delhi paid their respectful floral and singing tributes on the ocassion.
A Hawan with mantras, was also performed. Hundreds of packets of rice and flour with delicious food were also distributed to the people of the JJ clusters and nearby localities in honour of Kaka on this ocassion by Vipin Oberoi, Kaka’s younger brother like n die hard fan.
The Treat situated in Chanakyapuri near Maitraiyee College was inaugurated by the first superstar Kaka more than three decades ago.
He helped Vipin set up this food van and was a regular visitor here while in Delhi to promote this venture among his fans who still come here regularly.
Kaka’s birthday on 29 th December and death anniversary on 18 th July are celebrated and commemorated here every year with the superstar’s fans n friends paying him their rich tributes and singers singing his super duper hit mesmerising sings, entertaining the audience.
Apart from Vipin, his family, friends – Sunil Negi, president Uttarakhand Journalists Forum who was also Kaka’s media advisor and helped him during his election days regularly visited this place with Kaka before 2012.
After the Hawan, some budding and proficient singers of renowned Mullick musical group sang super hit songs of Kaka’s films to pay their richest tributes to their charming superstar. Rakesh Dhasmana, Himanshu Sharma, Kadam Srivastava, Khushi Goswami, Sonia, Khushboo and Palash Aggrawal made the day special and mesmerising with their melodious singing remembering their first superstar taking everyone back to his stardom days.
