A senior reporter of ABP news channel has resigned from his job accusing his seniors of pressurising him to deliberately show the less crowd of the Mahapanchayat of farmers held in Meerut in order to weaken the ongoing farmers movement thus discouraging him to perform his assignment transparently and honestly as a genuine journalist.
The infuriated senior reporter of ABP news Rakshit Singh has announced his resignation from the jam-packed platform of the Mahapanchayat held at Meerut to extend support to the agitating farmers demanding revocation of three farm laws and enactment of a new law on MSP.
Addressing the Mahapanchayat amidst cheers, angered senior ABP news channel reporter who had gone to cover it at Meerut expressed his total disenchantment over the pressured being exerted on him by his seniors n management to show the negative aspect like less crowd of the farmers movement/ Mahapanchayat thus intentionally deviating him from performing my duty as a transparent journalist, to not only defame the movement but also to discourage me to perform my journalistic assignment honestly.
He catagorically said that my parents have struggled hard and imparted me education in order to become an impartial and honest journalist but the ABP management is allegedly pressurising me not to show the genuine news to the people but to show less crowd of farmers deliberately. I hearby resign from my job as a senior reporter of ABP news channel from the Manch of the Mahapanchayat of the struggling farmers in protest he said amid cheers. The public resignation of Rakshit Singh in protest against his own management for not allowing him to perform his journalistic duties honestly n transparently to cover correct news, has infact sent strong rebuff to the Godi media said the protesting farmers lauding the brave decision of senior reporter of ABP news channel in the presence of farmers of Meerut Mahapanchayat.
