6th T-20 Devbhoomi Cricket Mahakouthig to commence from 26 th October

64 teams of Uttarakhand origin players to participate.


The 6th T-20 Devbhoomi Cricket Mahakouthig will be organized from Sunday, October 26, 2025 at Noida Cricket Stadium Sector-21 in which 64 teams of Uttarakhand origin players will participate.

In a press conference held at Garhwal Bhawan today, Arjun Singh Kandari, President of Devbhoomi Cricket Mahakouthig, said that in this tournament, 960 players will be the centre of attraction with their dress code. All the associate organizations of the organizing committee, Garhwal Hitaishi Sabha, Mata Parvati Devi Charitable Trust, Lor Herbal Boscage and Danish Patisserie are participating enthusiastically.

The first prize of Rs 1,21,000 will be given to the winning team of the tournament by Lor Herbal Boscage, Danish Patisserie (Mukesh Khantwal) and the second prize of Rs 75,000 will be given by Garhwal Hitaishini Sabha.

The winner and runner-up trophies (Rs 51,000) will be given by Mahavir Rana, President of Mata Parvati Devi Charitable Trust.

Social worker Surat Singh Bisht has announced to give all the Man of the Match trophies (Rs 50,000).

Executive President of the Organising Committee, Darwan Singh Rawat said that social worker Anand Singh Rawat will make arrangements for food for all the players, cricket lovers and guests present in the opening and closing ceremonies.

With the slogan of Khelo Uttarakhand, Badho Uttarakhand, Jeeto Uttarakhand, the organizers announced to organize the closing ceremony on 14th December with grand cultural programs at former Indian captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi Cricket Stadium, Jamia Okhla.

In the press conference, Garhwal Hitaishi Sabha President Surat Singh Rawat, General Secretary Pawan Maithani, Cultural Secretary Virendra Singh Negi along with Mahavir Singh Rana, Devendra Rawat, Mukesh Khantwal, key members of the foundation including President Arjun Singh Kandari, Executive Head Advocate J.S. Rawat, Darwan Rawat, Manwar Singh Aswal, Virendra Bisht, Anil Singh Rauthan, Abhishek Chaudhary and cricket coach Kamal Bagdi were present.

Following the press conference, colorful T-shirts were unveiled, along with the championship trophy. The Devbhoomi Mahakouthig Sports Foundation will also provide all 960 players with free attractive uniforms and the aforementioned cash prizes.

Mahavir Singh Rana , chairman of Mata Parvati Devi charitable Trust who has spondired the third prize of Rs. 51000 and main inspiring force behind these cricket tournaments said that in the near future the outstanding sportspersons in various games , national and jntetnational will be felicitated at Garhwal Bhahwan. The president of Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha amd geberal Decretary Pawan Maithani said that apart from fekicitating tge outstanding sportsman and sportswomen the Garhwal Hiteshini Sabha has decided to establish its own team of cricketeers from next year which will ne participating in the Devbhoomi Cricket championship tournaments as a part of it. They also lauded the role of Garhwal Heroes Football club the third times Delhi champion in Soccer leagues and said that they shall be honouring such outstanding teams as well in the near future.

GHS General Secretary Pawan Maithani and Mahavir Rana also assured the players coming to Delhi from different parts of Uttarakhand to participate in these competitions that they would be provided free accommodation, food etc. at Garhwal Bhawan.

Arjun Kandhari, president of the Devbhoomi Mahakouthig Sports Foundation, said that despite his best efforts to contact the Uttarakhand Cricket Association and his foundation being registered with the Union Sports Ministry he never received any collaborative support or assistance, nor did these two organizations ever take any initiative to listen to him carefully, which is indeed a very sad aspect of the story.

The patron of the Foundation senior Supreme Court advocate Jaswant Rawat while addressing the Press conference lauded the progression Devbhoomi Mahakauthig Sports Foundation saying that it started in 2018 with just 26 teams from Vasant Kunj ground , though today it has come to 64 teams and prizes worth Rs. 2.5 laks with top stadiums as playgrounds. in addition the players’ number has also multiplied to 960 which is quite a credible achievement.
