IYC ACTIVISTS PROTEST OUTSIDE HM’S RESIDENCE DEMANDING RESIGNATION OF HIS JUNIOR MINISTER on Lakhimpur issue
New Delhi, 09 October 2021:
Indian Youth Congress today demanded resignation of Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra, father of Lakhimpur Kheri massacre alleged accused Ashish Mishra as blamed by opposition parties.
Hundreds of activists of Indian Youth Congress today protested outside the residence of Home Minister Amit Shah, led by IYC National President Srinivas BV.
The Youth Congress activists also courted arrests and were taken in DTC buses to Mandir Marg police station.
The president of Indian Youth Congress Srinivas BV said that for the first time in the history of the country, it is happening that on one hand the car of the son of the Minister of State for Home, deliberately tramples on the farmers and the ruling party of the country seems to be standing not with the farmers but against them.
The farmer massacre in Lakhimpur Kheri has reminded us of the British rule he added addressing the IYC activists. Blaming the ruling political dispensation the IYC president catagorically said that it has been done under a well-planned conspiracy, so that an atmosphere of fear and terror is created among the farmers.

Expressing his disenchantment Sriniwas BV said that the horrific killing of innocent farmers in Lakhimpur Kheri has shaken the entire country.
Blaming the minister he accused him of allegedly threatening the farmers, yet still continuing on the post of Minister of State for Home.
Today is the sixth day of the massacre of farmers in Lakhimpur, but till date the Union Minister of State for Home has not been sacked he added.
By supporting the alleged accused it is clear that they are enemy of the farmers charged Sriniwas BC.
He also charged the BJP of allegedly patronising the culprits and said that due justice should be given to the bereaved families by bringing the culprits to book under the stringent sections of the law adding that the country will not tolerate injustice to the farmers.

He also said that the alleged involvement of the son of the Minister of State for Home Affairs in the Lakhimpur Kheri massacre is in front of everyone. It is certain that as long as the Minister of State for Home remains in his post, he can affect the investigations. So today we are demanding that the Minister of State for Home should be immediately sacked and the main accused Ashish Mishra should be arrested immediately he added.

Prominent amongst those who participated in this protest demonstration were Indian Youth Congress National Media In-charge Rahul Roy, General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress and Delhi In-charge Bhaiya Pawar, Delhi Co-Incharge Khushboo Sharma, Secretary Manju Tongad, Mukesh Kumar, Ajay Chikara, Delhi Pradesh Youth Congress President Rannvijay Singh Lochav, and several other Youth Congress workers were present.
