6.4 magnitude earthquake tremors felt in Delhi and NCR at 11.32 PM with panicked people coming out of their houses !
People living in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida experienced an earthquake with tremors resulting in panic among the residents especially those living in multi storey buildings. There are reports about terrified residents coming down on the ground badly frightened in Faridabad, Noida, Gurugram and Delhi. The earthquake appeared at 11.32 PM with the epic centre being Nepal . The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 6.4 on the richter scale. Several other parts of the country also felt the tremors with fans and even beds trembling for some time. Even in Uttarkashi , Uttarakhand which comes under Zone 5 prone to tectonic upheavals and earthquakes also confronting a massive earthquake in 1991 in which over 768 people had died, has experienced tectonic upheavals today. Though there are no reports of any casualties or injury but people were badly terrified and had come out of their houses in panic.
