Not in hundreds, but in thousands have women, girls and boys been going missing from Delhi, reports Delhi police

Human trafficking as usual seems to have become the most lucrative business for those involved in stealing children , women and men forcibly or through manipulations etc and the national capital territory Delhi shockingly reporting the missing persons not in hundreds but in thousands year after year. Starting with posts in social media and then the national news channels taking it up, today the information of massive data of missing children, women in particular in large numbers have unbelievably compelled the Delhi citizens to bite their nails and go into shocks. What is even worse is the fact that there overy rate is also poor with no hope of any come back of the kidnapped persons. According to various news reports in the current year of 2026′ s first months fifteen days there have been 807 persons missing in which the numbers of women and children was much. This means that in an average daily 54 people are missing with no trace of 572 kidnapped/ missing persons. Among these 807 missing persons, 191 were adolescents and 137 children. This data consists of 509 women and adolescents out of whom 399 are still untraceable. According to the data released by the Delhi police and the news being flashed in various news channels from 2016 to 226 , in all 60, 296 children have disappeared mysteriously. In the year 2025 the disappeared number of persons was 24,508 and among whom were 14,870 wimen and adolescent girls and our of this number 5,576 are still missing. This is indeed a very disturbing and rather tragic trend as we do not know how many of them have been injured, their body parts amputated, put to begging or prostitution or sold for illegal marriages and other trades. While on the ine hand the cyber crime in Delhi and entire country has siphoned hundreds of crores of rupees from the bank accounts of the innocent people , the cases of crimes related to chain snatchings, women insecurity and victimization of women are in the increase in the national capital.
