A 7-8 year old girl grievously injured by a maneater leopard near the Pithoragarh headquarter

It looks as if the Uttarakhand government has completely failed on the front of safeguarding the precious lives of its citizens who are constantly the deadly victims of the maneater leopards.
Hundreds of claims are being made for capturing the leopards in iron cages and tranquilizing the wild dreaded bears but the fatal attacks are on the uncontrollable rise.
The village women, senior citizens and the children are their direct victims.
The women who go to the nearby fields or jungles to collect fodder for the cattles are the most vulnerable victims either attacked by maneater leopards or the wild bears. Even the school going children are being lifted from their house compounds by these predators and killed britally.
There had been more than one hundred deaths by maneater attacks in the last five years though this estimate seems to be conservative .
During the last two months in November and December there have been thirty deadly attacks by wild bears not to speak of the increasing maneater attacks.
But despite all this, the forest and wild life department have proved to be completely futile. People are still dying and the wild life human conflict on incessant increase.
There seems to be a forest wild life emergency in Uttarakhand.
As if this was not enough just today, a seven year old adolescent boy has been grievously injured by a maneater fortunately saved by the local villagers who made tremendous noise.
The boy was attacked in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand near Jeebee village. This attack by a maneater is not an end but an indication for more such deadly attacks to follow in the immediate future.
