Pauri Garhwal MP Anil Baluni urges environment minister to give latest instruments / equipments to Uttarakhand to effectively deal with the increasing wild life human conflict in Uttarakhand especially Garhwal

The Lok Sabha member of parliament from Pauri Garhwal parliament constituency and national media incharge of the BJP Anil Baluni expressed his serious concern over the increasing human carnivores ( animal) conflict in Uttarakhand especially Garhwal division where during the last week four persons have tragically died due to maneater attacks and fifteen injured and one died due to the increasing attacks of the wild bears. He said this surge in human animal conflicts have never been witnessed before.
Anil Baluni was speaking in the Lok Sabha on Saturday on this alarming situation urging the union ministers of environment Bhupendra Yadav to immediately arrange the high quality iron cages, equipments and traquilization equipments and other weapons like guns etc as the human killings have increased manifold in Uttarakhand especially in Pauri Garhwal. He also urged the minister to send the high profile Wild life study team to Uttarakhand to find the reason for the increase in the carnivores attacks on human beings during this season and the counter thereof.
He also requested the minister to provide the maximum help and support to the Uttrakhnd government in this regard. It may be recalled that in Uttarakhand, citizens are constantly losing their lives and being injured due to wildlife attacks. Leaving homes for villagers, children for school, and women for the forest are not without danger. This requires quick and effective strategy and action. Due to the increasing attacks of maneater leopards in particular the schools have been closed in the affected areas adversely impacting the academic future of the students.
The women and children including the senior citizens have become vulnerable compelled to remain indoors in fear of the maneater attacks.
The Pauri Garhwal MP on Saturday wrote on X : Today in the Lok Sabha, I seriously raised the issue of increasing attacks by wild animals in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand, especially in the Garhwal Lok Sabha constituency, in the last few days. A few days ago, I had also raised this issue before the Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Shri Bhupendra Yadav ji, so that immediate and effective steps could be taken against these increasing attacks.
I have also requested the PCCF of Uttarakhand Forest Department to regularly review the situation of wild animal attacks and provide daily reports. Public safety is paramount. I am constantly working to ensure concrete and prompt action on this issue said Anil Baluni
