Dev Bhoomi Sports Mahakauthig Foundation’s 6 th KNOCKOUT CRICKET TOURNAMENT commenced with fan fare at Noida Stadium




The Dev Bhoomi Sports Mahakauthig Foundation’s 6 th knockout cricket tournament commenced today at Noida Stadium, Sector 21 with the lightening of the lamp,unfurling of the national flag and singing of the national anthem. The Tehri Garhwal MLA Kishore Upadhyay, and the recently elected Rudraprayag Jila Panchayat chairperson Poonam Kainthora were the chief guests on this ocassion who were initially introduced to all the cricket teams playing in this knock out tournaments.

Various cultural artists in their traditional colourful attires, men and women, boys and girls performed brilliantly on Uttarakhandi songs and mesmerising musical tunes on the cricket ground in honour of the players and the guests. The chief guests and sponsors of the First, Second and Third prizes including 66 trophies were welcomed and thanked for their invaluable contribution monetarily and in kind.



The first prize comprises of a Big trophy and Rs. 151 thousands, second prize of 75 thousand and third price of fifty one thousand rupees. The president of the Devbhoomi Mahakauthig Sports Foundation Arjun Kandari,the chief guests MLA Kishore Upadhyay and Jila Panchayat chief Rudraprayag Poonam Kainthora spoke on this ocassion thanking the players of 64 teams and the sponsors for their continued support and significant participation in this prestigious tournament. The office bearers of Garhwal Hiteshi Sabha Surat Singh Rawat, Pawan Maithani , charitable trust chairman Mahavir Rana and the first prize sponsor the owner of LORE HERBAL BOSCAGE PRIVATE LIMITED were thanked and honoured on this occasion for their invaluable contribution without whom this event would not have been possible. Hundreds of enthusiastic audience were present in this occasion. Senior journalist and editor of UKnationnews and Director Press Club Sunil Negi and Manjul Thapliyal – CEO, Visions Ahead Foundation & President, AMON (Australian Multicultural Organisations Network) India, Brijmohan Upreti were the special guests on this ocassion who were also welcomed by garlendning them and introducing to the players. The tournament started at 2 PM after completion of all the inaugural formalities. The entire event was dextrously moderated by Anil Rauthan.
Kindly recall that the first tournament was started in 2018 with just 26 teams from Vasant Kunj ground , though today it has come to 64 teams, 964 players and prizes worth Rs. 2.5 laks with top stadiums as playgrounds. in addition the players’ number has also multiplied to 960 which is quite a credible achievement.
