Dehradun despite being the capital of Uttarakhand has become the safe haven for criminals and incidents of murders, prostitution, crime against women are on the rise.
The main reason behind this being that the criminals from Uttar Pradesh and other nearby states after committing crime take refuge here or invest their illegal money expanding their properties by buying large tracts of land and then operating from here.
Since the land sale and building infrastructure selling flats earning multiple profits is a convenient business in Uttarakhand builder and land mafias have extended their network which also accompanied criminal activities this spoiling the law and order situation of the state.
In Dehradun today Dishu Rana, son of Naunyal Singh Rana (grandson of late Shri Baru Rana), a resident of village Osla in Mori development block of Uttarkashi district, was shot dead in broad daylight in Dehradun.
Due to the young man’s critical condition, he was referred from Doon Hospital to Max Hospital.
Purola MLA Durgesh Lal met with the hospital and police administration along with local residents.
He called for the immediate arrest of the accused, saying there was extreme tension in Dehradun and the region due to such a daylight attack in the capital.
In Dehradun few months ago a former youth leader of BJP was shot dead namely Butola by a criminal from Saharanpur in a despute related to a car purchase followed by a suicide by jne Jitendra Negi who was duped of more than fifty lakhs rupees by a BJP Yuva morcha leader in a land deal including several other cases related to prostitution being booked here.
