#Vote_Chor_Gaddi_Chod, Signature Campaign” was organised today in Laksar of Haridwar district in the presence of State Incharge Ms. Kumari Shailaja ji under the “Vote Chor-Gaddi Chhod, Signature Campaign”.

In the #Signature_Campaign, area residents, Congress workers, youth and women reached in large numbers and raised their voice against “vote theft”.

During this, Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat, President of Uttarakhand Congress Committee Karan Mahara, Leader of Opposition Yashpal Arya, Co-incharge Surendra Sharma, former President of Uttarakhand Congress Ganesh Godyal, MLA of Haridwar district Furkan Ahmed, Anupama Rawat,Ravi Bahadur, former MLAs Ramyas Singh and Haji Tasleem Ahmed, MP candidate Virendra Rawat, presidents of district/city/block Congress committees, senior Congress leaders and fellow workers were present.

Meanwhile, while participating in the Dehradun rally on the same issue and against unemployment under the leadership of Congress youth leader Harish Joshi said that It’s been 20 years since the public gained the Right to Information (RTI).

During this 20-year journey, this right has done significant work toward transparency and cleanliness in public life, achieving several significant achievements.

Today, in a planned manner, the Central Government, with the help of the Parliament of India, is gradually weakening this law, that is, an evil attempt is being made to neutralize a big weapon from the hands of the common people.

Under the leadership of respected Sonia ji, the advisory board was continuously being equipped with economic prosperity, transparency in public life, welfare of the common people and constitutional rights and laws.

Many important steps were being taken towards bringing transparency and economic equality.

This law was given to the common people during the period when the leadership of the country was in the hands of Dr. Manmohan Singh ji and an influential group which included our leftist friends and right activists was guiding his government.

During this period, the common people of the country got the right to education, right to health in the form of National Health Insurance Scheme, right to work in the form of MNREGA, farmers got the right to land compensation in the form of four times the compensation for the land acquired from them.

People living in forests and near forests got the right to forest rights, and everyone got the right to communication based on cheap call rates in the form of mobile phones in every hand.

During this period, employees received substantial pay raises based on the recommendations of the Pay Commission, and the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers’ produce was substantially increased. This was a period of people-oriented rights.

Today, the right to food security has been forgotten in the face of free rations. Previously, you could get wheat and rice as you pleased by paying ₹2. Today, you are dependent on someone’s mercy.
Well, the question is about the Right to Information, and there are attempts to nullify this right. A strong voice should be raised against this evil attempt. I congratulate the State Congress Committee for raising this voice from the Congress platform write Harish Rawat , former MP and Uttarakhand CM on X.
