48 year old resident of Jamla village, Ghurdadi, Pauri Garhwal does of maneater attack

The increasing terror of the maneaters in Garhwal Uttarakhand have made the lives of the locals completely insecure with tragic fatal incidents on the rise. The Pauri Garhwal constituency in particular is witness to several such tragic casualties due to maneater attacks during the last few months. According to the latest information
the terror of leopards has once again been witnessed in Pauri district when a leopard attacked and killed a 48-year-old man in Jamla village near the Ghuddauri area yesterday evening. It is reported that the leopard attacked suddenly from an ambush, leaving the man without a chance to escape. During the last several months videos of maneaters roaming around freely in the Ghurdari area were posted in social media bit the forest and wild life department has taken no interest to cage or tranquilize the maneater leopard/ tiger with this tragic incident happening.
Following this tragic incident, an atmosphere of panic has gripped the entire region. Villagers are deeply angered and fearful, as leopard activity has been increasing in the area for some time. Senior journalist Manohar Bisht expressed deep concern over this incident, stating that the leopard threat is steadily increasing in many mountainous areas. He urged the Forest Department and the administration to take immediate, effective steps in the affected areas to ensure public safety and prevent such incidents.
Villagers have also demanded that the forest department capture the leopard or remove it from the area to ease the panic among the people. A forest department team has arrived at the scene and is investigating the incident.
