Just ten days left for Delhi polls, is BJP forming the government ?

With merely ten days left for the elections of the national capital territory the earlier three cornered contest between the AAP, BJP and Congress has finally turned into direct contest between the AAP and the BJP. The election campaigning these days are in full swing with some opinion polls still giving AAP an edge over the saffron party. The Falodi Satta Bazaar opinion polls of Rajasthan are still giving AAP 37 to 41 seats though raising the BJP tally tremendously from earlier 7-8 to 25 to 29 – 30 with just three seats to Congress.

What is important to note here is that the two national parties Congress and BJP who always ridiculed, criticized and countered the AAP as the party of freebies to bag votes at the tax payers cost with Delhi finances going into deficit – have now themselves announced freebies more than the AAP after their respective surveys have accorded the AAP and Arvind Kejriwal upper hand because of his earlier announcement of freebies especially to women giving the monthly dole of Rs 2100 and other concessions, having tested him practically since the last ten years.

Till yesterday criticizing the AAP hands down for freebies the BJP chief J.P. Nadda has himself declared beyond imagination freebies to the Delhi electorates, especially to the women, youths and senior citizens.

Political analysts say that the recent announcement of freebies by the BJP and Congress unambiguously reveals that both these parties have morally accepted their defeat at the hands of AAP and now wanted to implement same tactics of freebies which Kejriwal did ten years ago and criticized badly by them to garner support from those sections who are voting him.

According to reliable sources though the BJP being the ruling party at the centre and majority of the states, have no dearth of funding and power it is leaving no stone unturned through its excessive money power to defeat AAP but on the contrary the juggernaut of the Aam Admi Party is moving ahead with the majority of the Delhi voters realising how the former Delhi CM Arvind kejriwal, his ministers, lawmakers etc were put behind bars on alleged false cases etc and immensely harrassed and mentally tortured under PMLA charges.

Moreover the recent grant of permission to ED to reconstitute legal proceedings against Arvind Kejriwal by the home ministry on the recommendation of the LG in the middle of the ongoing elections also sends the message across cross sections of the electorates of Delhi as to how vindictive has the ruling political dispensation become to victimise those doing good for Delhi people.

Whatever may be the results of the Delhi elections but One thing is absolutely clear that a party ( AAP) which had bagged 67 seats in 2013 and 62 seats thereafter is today down to 37 to 40 -41 seats according to the opinion polls of Falodi Satta Bazaar ( though opinions are not accurate usually) and the BJP surging to thirty seats from three. Therefore ,nothing can be said still. Which way the winds flow/ blow after 5 th February is anybody’s guess and opinion polls can’t be relied upon always. What’s your take friends ?
