400 Indians stranded in Afghanistan ( Kabul) including 2 Afghan lawmakers safely airlifted to Delhi
Amidst the prevailing confusion and threat to lives by gun totting Taliban insurgents in Kabul and other parts of Afghanistan after the American troops left the war torn country dominating for twenty protracted years, the Indian government is busy evacuating stranded Indians in Afghanistan since the day Taliban entered Kabul.
Not only the stranded Indians but Afghan citizens in jeopardy are also coming to India, seeking refuge along with their families. So far hundreds of stranded Indians and afghan citizens, have been rescued from Kabul n adjoining provinces in Afghanistan and airlifted to Delhi.
The former president Ashraf Ghana’s political advisor, several Afghanistan citizens in distress have been ferried to Delhi alongwith Indian citizens.
Two days ago Indian ambassador to Afghanistan Mr. Tandon, entire Embassy staff, security personnel and employees working elsewhere were airlifted totally 155. In another IAC plane 85 persons were evacuated and brought to national capital. Today, an airplane of Indian Airforce C 17, Globemaster ferried 168 persons of Indian origins including Afghan citizens to the national capital giving them tremendous psychological relief. Till now more than one thousand people, majority of them Indian citizens including few Afghanistan citizens have been rescued and airlifted to Delhi.
This IAF aircraft has taken off from Kabul airport on Sunday, lifting 168 persons and landed at the Hindon Airport at Ghaziabad.
According to external affairs sources these safely returned Indians also included Afghan nationals, many of them being Afghan politicians linked with the outgoing government.
All the persons heaved a huge sigh of relief after several days of insecurity and psychological terror.
According to the latest news while India Airforce has brought 168 persons safely from Kabul to Hindon Airforce station, Ghaziabad, the two other flights Air India and Indigo also brought Indians to Delhi from Kabul totalling to nearly 400 stranded Indians including some Afghan citizens as well.
In all three separate flights viz Indian Airforce, Air India and Indigo brought Indians and two Afghan lawmakers to Delhi in view of the deteriorating security situation in Kabul, Afghanistan after Taliban capturing it’s 34 provinces out of total 35 including the capital Kabul.
Presently, the American TROOPERS n some NATO forces are maintaining the law and order situation at Kabul Airport managing various flights including that of US to safely evacuate desperate citizens of various countries including Afghan citizens hurrying up to leave Kabul at the earliest. Currently, the Kabul Airport is in total control of American and NATO troops.
During the last seven days in view of the hasty evacuation of stranded citizens of various countries at Kabul Airport after the Taliban forces captured Kabul over twenty persons have died while desperately running for entering the aircraft in their bid to leave war torn Kabul. There had been instances of some dying after felling own from the aircraft after ur took off as those died have stuck themselves to the tyres of the aircraft.
According to the version of the British military out of these twenty seven Afghan civilians have been killed in the desperate crowds running on the airstrip along the taking off of the aircraft, at Kabul international Airport.
