20 year BTech student of an engineering college Ghaziabad drowned at Rishikesh. Dead body found.

There have been several tragic incidents of deaths in river Ganges in the past at Rishikesh and Haridwar with majority of the victims being from Delhi or plain areas who go to these spiritual destinations for paying obeisance to Deities and also taking risk of bathing with carelessness in the Ganges. There is no looking back after taking such drastic risks jumping into the power tides of Ganga not thinking that how dangerous and life taking their plunge into the high tide river could be.

An unfortunate such death of a young BTech student was revealed on Sunday when near Lakshman Jhula at Rishikesh this brilliant engineering student jumped into he river Ganges to go for a swim.

The dead body of the boy was recovered later on. He was here with his friends for outing reveal the news reports.

According to the state disaster management authority officers the dead body of an engineering BTech student namely Vibhav Sharma age 20 of ABES college at Ghaziabad has been recovered after several complaints about his drowning in the Ganga river was received by them.

This tragedy occured at Mastram Ghat, at Rishikesh , Uttarakhand where four BTech students of engineering college of Ghaziabad had come for excursion and were taking bath.

They said that while taking the bath the student namely Vibhav Sharma ‘s leg got slipped and he probably not knowing how to swim drowned instantly.

On getting the complaint from the onlookers at the Ghat the SDRF team reached the spot and dived into the river finding his dead body due to asphyxiation at twenty five feet downwards. The dead body of Sharma has been sent for postmortem. The deceased was from Baghpat, Badaut, UP primarily.
