5 lacs Cusec water discharged from Hathinikund barrage with Yamuna breaching the danger mark again !

There are chances of Delhi Yamuna swelling again as Haryana’s Hathinikund barrage has released 5 lacs cusec water in Delhi Yamuna with alert declared by Delhi government. According to latest news following heavy rains in Punjab and Haryana the Hathinikund barrage witnessed heavy water up stick with the water flow rate rising from 81,177 cusecs to 2,40,832 cusecs from 8 in the morning to 12 . O0 PM . During the last 24 hours . According to the latest reports the water level of Yamuna river in Delhi has again breached the danger mark again compelling the flood affected residents to seek shelter in relief camps. The Delhi government has come in active helping mode providing relief materials like ration, food and drinking water to the affected people of the flooded areas. Since the Yamuna river’s danger mark breached 205.33 meters’ mark at OLD RAILWAY BRIDGE at 8 in the morning several affected people were seen seeking shelter near Signature bridge. Meanwhile, the Delhi government has decided to withdraw the restrictions on the entry of vehicles in Delhi after the water level of Yamuna had fallen below the danger mark of 205. 33 metres. The rising water level in Delhi Yamuna is due to release of water from Yamuna Nagar Hathinikund barrage which gets overfilled due to excessive rains in Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand . The discharge of 5 lacs causes water on Friday to Delhi has resulted in this situation leading to people of flood affected areas seeking shelter elsewhere.
