THE managing director of Snowy Mountains and producer, director and renowned actress of garhwali films Urmi Negi has released her first colourful poster of her new movie likely to be released in the month of April after everything complete. The name of this new Garhwali movie is BATHAUN ” THUNDERSTORM”, SUBHERU GHAM -2, which was shot in the serene locations in Garhwal during Covid times was indeed a highly challenging and critical duration with several actors n crew getting trapped in the dreaded pandemic. Thanks to the courage, guts and gumption of its producer, director and actor Urmi Negi who travelled all through from Mumbai to Uttarakhand hills along with her dedicated team n amera crew and shot the movie on various trivial but serene locations during the pandemic duration. The author Sunil Negi was also given a role to be shot in Pauri township but couldn’t make it due to the pandemic. Based on migration Garhwali film BATHAUN, SUBHERU GHAM PART 2 has been produced n directed by Urmi Negi MD Snowy Mountains and music given by eminent singer n musician of Uttarakhand Narendra Singh Negi with Pritam Bharat wanna, Padma Shree writing its interesting title song. Full of melodious regional songs, beautiful music and scenes of serene beauty of Uttarakhand “BATHAUN “, would be a blockbuster movie for sure hopes its producer, director Urmila Negi who lives in Mumbai. Having acted in several Garhwali films like Gharjawain, FYONLI, ( self production, SUBHERU GHAM etc and Hindi movies with Devanand, Rajesh Khanna and Mithun Chakravorthy including Nepali, Bhojpuri and Punjabi movies Urmi Negi is a popular star who is quite popular in Uttarakhandi cinema circle and has carved a niche for herself by the dint of her hard work, dedication and dexterity in acting. Her film SUBHERU Gham was also exhibited in Canada regional film festival and had won an award as well. Hailing from Pauri Garhwal, Pauri Gaon Urmi Negi was a talented cultural activist and actor since her childhood days and had immense interest in acting in films. After her marriage she went to Mumbai and finally came in acting n film making by forming her own production house Snowy Mountains company having produced Garhwali film FYONLI, SUBHERU GHAM AND NOW BATHAUN, SUBHERU GHAM, PART 2 to be released in the month of April. It may recalled that this year Garhwali movies namely MERU GAON, YU KANNU RISHTA, KHAIRI KA DIN etc have been doing good business in theatres in Uttarakhand, Delhi and NCR. Earlier before Covid pandemic Subheru GHAM and Major Nirala did good business. After the government of Uttarakhand has announced about good subsidy of Uttarakhandi regional films, lots of big feature films are being made and several on anvil. Even, Hindi film directors and producers are heading towards the serene locations of Uttarakhand for shooting films especially after the state government has announced several concessions anc eighth percent subsidy for Uttarakhand’s regional movies.
