19 Army brave hearts killed and some injured when the Army truck skidded in Sikkim
A heart wrenching tragedy has occurred today. An Army truck with several brave hearts that got skidded in Sikkim and fell in a gorge unfortunately led to the tragic painful deaths of 16 soldiers beyond belief sending shock waves all around. The tragedy occurred when the Army Truck which was the part of the convoy of three vehicles moving from Chatten towards Thangu took a steep turn in Zema and dashed down in a deep gorge in the Northern part of Sikkim resulting in the tragic end of the lives of 16 soldiers. This Friday accident claiming 16 lives of Army soldiers included three commissioned officers with 13 soldiers when the truck skidded enroute at Zema, Sikkim, while taking an urgent turn revealed the statement issued by Indian Army. The president, prime minister, defence minister, n Yogi Aditya Nath expressed their deepest condolences after this tragedy. The president in a tweet wrote : Anguished to learn about the loss of lives of brave soldiers of Indian Army in a road accident in Sikkim. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured tweeted President of India.
Prime minister Narendra Modi while expressing his deepest condolences on this tragedy tweeted : Pained by the loss of lives of our brave army personnel due to a road mishap in Sikkim. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon tweeted PM Modi.
The Defence minister Rajnath Singh tweeted ; Deeply pained by the loss of lives of the Indian Army personnel due to a road accident in North Sikkim.
