SIT investigating the Ankita murder probe, re-enacted the scene at Vanantara resort n Chilla canal separately taking the culprits on the crime scene !

While the protest demonstrations, candle marches and torch light processions are still continuing in various parts of Uttarakhand and in the national capital etc, the DIG and chief of the SIT IPS P. Renuka Devi is deeply investigating the sensitive Ankita Bhandari murder case re – enacting the crime scene thus trying to reach at a definite conclusion.

According to the latest news, the Special Investigating Team constituted by Uttarakhand police led by DIG n IPS Renuka Devi – an honest and upright officer has taken each of the culprit of 19 year old Ankita Bhandari’s brutal murder to the Vanantara resort as well as the Chilla canal site separately and were asked to explain the situation in order to corroborate the statements of the culprits separately and arrive at a definite conclusion whether all of them are narrating the same happening ( story) to rightly corroborate the case. In addition, the SIT has also interrogated the Patwari Vaibhav Pratap Singh, now arrested, suspended on 27 th September. He is being counted as one of the important accused being in clandestine collaboration with the culprits who had gone on leave, the day the matter was highlighted in the media, not registering the missing complaint despite the traumatic father of the deceased girl Ankita going to him in the police post and urging to lodge his FIR and search his missing daughter.

It is believed that the patwari Vaibhav Pratap Singh had not registered his complaint, nor heard to his repeated pleas , nor informed the higher officials about the case and its sensitivity, before going on leave.

The investigative senior journalist Ashutosh Negi had also gone with the aggrieved father of Ankita Bhandari, making a video accusing the patwari and entire staff not giving them any heed despite repeated requests.

It may be recalled that the DIG and SIT chief IPS Devika Rani had yesterday in a video released in Facebook n twitter etc had assured the people and media about the police doing its job perfectly to stringently punish the guilty as she has taken all the culprits on police remand.

She had also urged people not to fall in the trap of the baseless rumours being floated in social media.

Ankita Bhandari was pushed in the Chila canal on 18 th September by the trio Pulkit Arya, Ankit Gupta, and Bhaskar who were drunk, after she refused to falll in line to give extra service to a VIP in the resort.

Ankita was serving as a receptionist and had joined the resort just a month ago on a mere salary of Rs. 10000 with lodging n boarding free.

Her dead body has been recovered and post mortem conducted, the report of which has been submitted in the court say news reports.

The government of Uttarakhand has sanctioned a financial compensation of Rs. 25 lakhs from the chief minister’s discretionary fund, outrightly rejected by her father saying that he want capital punishment to the culprits.

However, the protestors are demanding CBI probe into this case, capital punishment to the culprits through fast track court, one crore rupees as financial compensation and a government job to a member of the family if late Ankita Bhandari.
