1,347 Assistant Teachers (LT) selected through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission on October 14th.

Appointment letters will be distributed to 1,347 Assistant Teachers (LT) selected through the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission on October 14th.


Appointment letters will be given to all the selected teachers by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a program organized in the auditorium of Government Doon Medical College located in Patel Nagar.

Along with this, the selected teachers will be given first posting in schools in remote areas of the state, which will remove the shortage of teachers in inaccessible areas and quality education will be ensured to the students.
State School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that after the High Court order regarding Assistant Teacher (LT) recruitment, the Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission has provided the list of selected candidates to the Secondary Education Department.

In this sequence, appointment letters will be distributed to 1,347 teachers selected by the commission on October 14. The department has completed all preparations for this.

Dr. Rawat informed that the selected candidates would be given appointment letters by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in a program organized by the department in the auditorium of Government Doon Medical College, Patel Nagar.

He said that as per the list provided by the Commission, teachers have been selected for 681 posts in the general and women branches in Garhwal division
which includes 112 teachers in Hindi subject, 98 in English, 9 in Sanskrit, 66 in Mathematics, 109-109 in Science and General subjects, 103 in Arts, 59 in Physical Education, 3 in Home Science, 11 in Commerce and 2 in Music subject.

The departmental minister said that some candidates had filed a petition in the High Court regarding the recruitment result declared by the Commission.

The court has disposed of all the cases and passed orders to make appointments on 1347 posts while instructions have been given to keep the remaining posts reserved.
Dr. Rawat said that all these selected teachers will be first posted in schools located in remote and inaccessible areas of the state so that the shortage of teachers can be overcome and quality education can be ensured.
Dr. Rawat stated that the state government’s goal is to provide subject-specific teachers in every school in the state. The department is continuously working to fill vacant teaching positions.
He said that soon 2100 assistant teachers will be appointed in the Primary Education Department and lecturers will be appointed on more than 800 posts in the Secondary Education Department.
