Second brutal killing of a woman by a man eater in Pabo Block in Pauri Garhwal district
How long will we bear the brunt of the carnivores of Uttarakhand, rather man eaters or predators. After all they is limit to everything, the saturation point is the ultimate limit. But the way humans, are being killed brutally in Uttarakhand by man eater leopards unabatedly, with the Uttarakhand government and its forest and wild life department, literally doing nothing then what is the ultimate guarantee of the safety and security of human lives becoming almost daily victim of these predators, is the question being asked by the terrified inhabitants of the himalayan state.
Just yesterday a woman has been the deadly victim of a man eater losing her precious life, despite the hard fact that a man eater was burnt alive in a cage few days ago by the enraged residents of Saplodi and surrounding villages with cases lodged against 150 inhabitants by the forest department.
A woman of Daanda village of Gram Sabha Bhatti of Pabo block under Pauri Garhwal district was literally grabbed and dragged by the man eater from her house compund in the evening and subsequently killed sucking her blood with her badly mutilated body found in the nearby agricultural field, yesterday.
The man eater on prowl for human flesh pounced upon her and dragged her to the nearby farms killing her instantly after sucking her blood.
Her dead body was badly mutilated. The villagers are extremely terrified and have demanded killing of the man eater Or caging it at the earliest.
This is the second brutal killing of women in Paabo Block by the man eater, however, a predator was burnt alive few days, ago by Saplodi n surrounding villagers while it was trapped by the forest department in an iron cage.
A woman was also grievously injured in Rikhnikhal block few days ago. Three persons including a wife of the village head of Kathur, in Sithonsiun patti, Kot block, Pauri Garhwal were also injured by a man eater who was caught in the scrubber of the forest department three days ago. A 7 year child was grabbed by the jaws and brutally killed by a man eater leopard in Tehri Garhwal Or Rudra Prayag months ago who was later on killed by a professional hired hunter Mr. Bhandari after few days of intensive search. There had been several cases of human kills by man eaters in Pauri Tehri Garhwal , Chamoli, Pithoragarh and Nainital districts etc.
Meanwhile, the enraged people of the affected village and the district have protested demanding freeing the area of man eaters posing direct threat to the children, women n senior citizens. The demand of the protesting enraged women and men in front of the forest SDO to make this man eater infested area ” Narbhakshi mukht” has reached the ears of the Pauri district magistrate and the former Congress chief of Uttarakhand Ganesh Godiyal, OSD to Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat etc have assured the enraged residents to look into their demand seriously.
