114 illegal immigrants in US military plane land at Amritsar Airport on Sunday night. In the first batch were two alleged murderers arrested at Patiala
A military airplane of United States of America carrying 112 illegal immigrants staying in America illegally have reached Amritsar, Punjab on 16 February, Sunday landing at Amritsar Airport at 10. 9 PM.
What is interesting to note that out of 114 illegal immigrants only 31 are from Punjab whereas 44 persons are from Haryana, and 33 from Gujarat including one each from Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh.
Two are from Uttar Pradesh.
After proper verification by immigration department, after checking all the documents and recording their statements about the huge amount paid to the agents illegally, their total credentials and that of the agents etc will these persons be allowed to go to their respective homes.
The government has arranged the vehicles to see off these illegal immigrants to their respective homes.
It may be recalled that a plane carrying 116 illegal immigrants had landed at Amritsar airport on 15 th February.
These immigrants were send to their homes on Sunday 4.30 PM after adequate verification.
The Punjab and Haryana government had made arrangements for sending them to their respective destinations.
In the second batch of immigrants sixty five were from Punjab, 33 from Haryana and eight were from Gujarat. From Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Rajasthan and Maharashtra there were two each and from Himachal and Jammu Kashmir there were one each.
Out of these immigrants three of them were chained in hands and legs claimed the immigrants.
What is interesting to note here is that out of these immigrants two of them from Patiala were arrested by the Punjab police on murder charges.
They were repatriated to India in the first batch of returnees on 5 th February . This first batch had 104 returnees and majority of them were from Punjab.
The military plane of America carrying them had landed in Amritsar on 15 th February.
Meanwhile the Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann said that the BJP government is venting its anger on Punjab for its defeat, but has not done a single thing in favor of Punjab.

The Punjab chief minister Mann and even Congress leaders have accused the BJP for defaming Punjab by landing the plane in Amritsar whereas the illegal immigrants were from Gujarat , Haryana and other states also.
They questioned why is the plane not landed in Delhi or Gujarat or Haryana and why in Amritsar exclusively, obviously meaning that there is a calculated attempt to defame the Punjab and Punjabies said the opposition leaders. The matter was raised in parliament in both the houses and the leaders ( MPs) of Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance demanded that in instead of the US plane bringing them to Amritsar the Indian government should send their own planes and bring them back.
