Services of outsourced UPNL employees not required from 31 March, 2022 employed during challenging Covid 19 times at Govt Doon Medical College, Dehradun getting no directives for further extention of their services
The Principal of Doon Medical College of Uttarakhand in its order ( letter no 1308, as below) sent to the Uttarakhand Purv Sainik Kalyan limited ( UPNL) has catagorically stated that the services of all the outsourced ex servicemen during Covid 19 period have been terminated with effect from 31.3.2022 as their services are no more required thus making about 450 outsourced ex- servicemen unemployed. There is lot of resentment among the ex servicemen as during the election campaign various political parties in the fray have assured that the ex servicemen will be provided employment including other facilities etc.
According to the order issued by the principal of Rajkiya Doon Medical College dated 11 th March, 2022 addressed to the Co Manager of UPNL, Cantonment Area, Dehradun, being circulated in social media as well, the outsourced ex servicemen were appointed and their appointment further extended till 31.3.2022 after being appointed on 7.5.21 by Doon Medical College in view of the first and second Covid 19 pandemic.
Since now, the Govt Doon Medical authorities have not received any further order or written administrative directives to extend the services of the outsourced employees after the deadline of 31.2.2022, their services are terminated from 31st April, 22, subject to giving them priority on seniority basis, taking them back on service in case in the near future, the Doon Medical College authorities require their services sympathetically said the letter of the principal Govt. Doon Medical College Dehradun.
After the elections and the previous government led by BJP likely to form the government in Uttarakhand this order of termination of services of the outsourced ex servicemen has led to resentment among the retired army men having lost their source of income.
