The Uttarakhand government led by the Bhartiya Janata Party having changed the former CM Trivendra Singh Rawat during the Covid times to install a new CM Tirath Singh Rawat after four years of saffron rule thinking that the incumbent CM will pave the way towards improvising n enhancing the sagging party morale and deteriorating image in the hilly state, is still in a state of jeopardy as the Covid 19 situation in the state has worsened to such an extent that nearly four thousand people had died and the pandemic cases enhanced tremendously to two lakh forty five thousand numbers.
According to some media reports, the situation of dreaded pandemic in the state during CM Tirath Singh Rawat’s new tenure has worsened to such an extent that during the Mahakumbh celebrations in the month of April the state has witnessed about one lakh three thousand infections, which was considered to be a collossal 1800% increase. This tremendous spike was from 31st March to 24 April, when the Mahakumbh was held at Haridwar despite objections from various quarters in the country, especially in view of the already existing alarming Covid 19 situation in the country which has so far witnessed nearly 2.50 lakh fatalities till date though this is considered to be a conservative figure n would have increased multiply had unreported Covid 19 fatalities recorded transparently nationally. The worst tragedy of the entire sorry tale is when Covid was witnessing the second terrible spike in April the Uttarakhand government was busy organising Mahakumbh at Haridwar attended by approximately more than 35 lakh devotees with majority of them not at all following Covid 19 norms. You watch the pictures of Shahi San at Haridwar, thousands of saints were closeted with each other with not a single devotee taking bath at Ganges wearing masks n maintaining physical distance. India a shocking and sorry state of affairs.
There are no adequate medical health facilities in the state with Covid related fatalities going out of bond say the opposition leaders.
Today Uttarakhand’s capital Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar and Haridwar are the worst centres of Covid 19 including about ten districts of the state.
Angered persons at vaccination centre at Rishikesh

The increasing antagonism and anger among people of the state can be gauged from the fact that in Rishikesh today angered n badly disenchanted local residents who were constrained to wait for three hours at a vaccination centre because a political chief guest was to inaugurate the vaccination drive who arrived 2 n a half hours late.
The agitated women n men raised Murdabad slogans against the speaker of Uttarakhand Assembly Prem Kumar Agrawal terming him as a liability in the system trying to extract maximum political milage even during critical Covid times.
Criticizing the assembly speaker the agitated women asked what is the need to inaugurate the vaccination centre making people, especially women to stand in queue for three hours under the scorching sun. The women n men raising anti Assembly speaker Prem Kumar Agrawal slogans criticised him for being late for several hours n extracting political advantage from critical Covid situation which is claiming peoples’ lives. Shame on him said agitated women and warned that elections are coming fast and we will teach him a lesson. It may be recalled that the Uttarakhand elections are due for 2022 and keeping in view the deteriorating Covid situation in the hilly state with the outgoing n present CM of BJP proving to be incompetent, the morale of opposition Congress seems to be quite high.
According to senior army officer retired Major Omkar Singh from Chandigarh committed to Uttarakhand’s social and burning issues of peoples’ concern, the govt of Uttarakhand could still not gear up to contain the corona onslaught. There is a total chaos in skilled management & administration.
